Rovers ended their goal drought at Burroughs Park, officially 455 minutes since Tony Jacobs goal.
Yet despite going in front after just five minutes through captain Lewis Sparrow, we were pegged back by a Sam Ruff goal just before half time to go in at the break 1-1.
Rovers pushed on for a win in the second half, which saw Jack Carlile miss a penalty after Jay Nash was fouled in the box by the keeper. Forward Dan Williams entered the fray and it was his first touch that ensured Rovers took the lead.
Following a sending off for Cheshunt which saw what appeared to be a two footed tackle by Jordan Lumsden, the 10-men pushed forward and were awarded a penalty of their own in the 90th minute, which was duly placed into the back of the net to secure the visitors a point.
