Rovers new management team will be pleased with the way they fought for a point against a Harlow Town side that had the majority of play.
Despite taking a 6th minute lead through debutant Tony Jacobs, Rovers did well in a first half that saw both sides create numerous chances. However, had it not been for the woodwork, both sides could have added to their tally. Julian Okai smashed the ball against the post immediately before Harlow Town countered to hammer the ball against the Rovers crossbar in a wonderful exchange of play for the 156 strong crowd.
The second half was to be a strong one for the visitors and they were rewarded with a goal, Adam Holmes giving away a free kick on the edge of the area, the result of which was a great cross to the back post where Kilapi was waiting to find the back of the net.
Despite the draw, it will be another game that Rovers have shown promise and moreso, maintained an effort level that will please manager Dan Trenkel.
Post match statement from Trenkel will appear shortly.
