Rovers were comprehensively beaten by Cheshunt as their winless run in the league stretched to six matches.
Rovers were no match for Cheshunt, as three well taken goals ended their hopes of taking the points. All the focus had been on the league’s top-scorer Jason Hallett in the build-up to the game, but it was another striker who stole the show.
Stuart Zazone netted a delightful hat-trick and stole the show with a terrific performance.
But Rovers had chances to take the lead in the encounter, failing to make them count and Zazone made them pay. His first came on 37 minutes, with his second coming just five minutes later to hand Cheshunt the advantage at half-time. And his third came from the penalty spot, after a foul by goalkeeper Adam Seal in the penalty area.
Rovers tried to fight back but failed to get on the score sheet as they looked to fight back.
