Rovers thumped at home

Rovers had a very disappointing night against Barkingside in Ryman One North, losing 4-1.

Player-manager Dan Trenkel equalised for Wakering just five minutes after Luke With had given Barkingside the lead to ensure the sides were tied at 1-1 going into the break.

But Tyrone Scarlet made it 2-1 to the visitors in the 61st minute with With getting his second of the game shortly after.

And in a match Trenkel said was “must win” ahead of the match, Scarlet got a brace of his own four minutes from time to leave Wakering shell-shocked.
