Updated/enhanced badge to be used from next season

Upon closer inspection, the present Rovers badge which has been in use for the last 4 years, appeared to be needing a little facelift.

Rovers Commercial Manager Mick Watson and Media Manager Robert Lilley agreed that the old badge seemed as though it was scanned from a club shirt.

Robert Lilley stated "It's not something that is instantly recongnisable purely because when you've seen it over and over again like I have it becomes the norm. But, the football at the top of the logo is a little squashed and the lettering 'GWR FC' is out of allignment"

Mick Watson added "yes, what this looks like is the badge had almost been scanned from a shirt or something similar and the logo has moved whilst being scanned, giving us the changes in the logo".

Needless to say Robert has been busy and a new logo has been produced, which also lends itself to an older logo that was found to be used a number of years ago.

"I found a logo from old files I have from about 9 years ago which had a great colour scheme but was such a low resolution that it couldn't be used commercially or on the website" Robert added.

"The updated logo has the errors corrected. I've also taken the colours from the older logo, the Brickfields colour and the traditional green of the Rovers, making these more prominant. I've also update the font that was used for "GWR FC" to make this punchier and a bit more in your face so to speak".
