Rovers Media Manager Rob Lilley takes a look back at the previous results against Sawbridgeworth Town FC.

As we prepare to play Sawbridgeworth Town this coming Saturday, I'll take you through a round up of our matches against Sawbo over the years.

Rovers first played Sawbridgeworth Town on the 26th September 1992, away, in an Essex Senior League match. Unfortunately for the Green & Whites we came away pointless, Neil Ramsay scoring Rovers only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

In total, we have played Sawbo 16 times. Rovers have won on 6 occasions, Sawbo 8 times with 2 draws. Rovers have scored 25 goals and conceded 24.

If we take a look at Rovers being at home, there have been 8 games. Rovers have won 4, Sawbo 3 with 1 draw. Rovers have scored 15 goals, conceding 9. Rovers have won the last 4 games against Sawbridgeworth at Burroughs Park.

Rovers biggest win came on the 25th January 1997, a 6-1 home win in the Essex Senior League. Goals that day came from Alan Hull, Paul Flack, Andy Innell, Richard Woodley, Neil Ramsay and an own goal.

Current manager Dan Trenkel last scored against Sawbridgeworth in a 3-2 defeat away in the Essex Senior League on the 18th August 2012.
