The 'Our Village, Our Club' campaign is the first real push for support for a number of years. It is a campaign to make the residents of Great Wakering & Barling more aware of the club and it's ambitions.
I wouldn't say we have ignored the village, but we've not done much to get bums off seats to come to Burroughs Park either.

So, in association with Kestrel Printing Limited, we're in the process of distributing over 3000 leaflets to households in the village, placing campaign posters in business windows, had car window stickers and banners made for added exposure."

It is about building and re-building relationships with the community and it's youth.
To this end we have finalised discussions with Great Wakering & Barling schools to distribute FREE season tickets to every child. We've also rolled this out to every child in Great Wakering Colts.
We recognise that the children of today are our supporters of tomorrow.

But it is not all about support. Our Under 18's management and some senior players have taken training sessions with various Colts teams to show their faces and instil a sense of progression within the clubs.

There will be more efforts being made to promote the club as much as possible and to piggy back this on the success on the pitch so far this season is superb timing but ultimately it is what we are striving to achieve off the pitch that will ensure this success continues on it.
