Rovers unable to continue their form following win at Ware & draw at Sudbury

Rovers were below par in this fixture which saw little in front of goal. Rovers were downed by a Lewis Sparrow own goal just before half time but Rovers appeared from the break with more determination and tried to force home an equaliser.
However, with 15 minutes to go, ex-Rover Steve Butterworth found himself on the end of a good cross from the left the fire home from close range. The midfielder, involved in most Brentwood moves on the night, didn't celebrate wildly in respect of his opposition.

The night did see winger Billy Johnson hobble off with an injury during the first half and late-on, a first team debut for Ashley Webb who has shone in his reserve appearances this season.

Rovers defender Nick Skelton again did well at the back but for roving reporter Brian Jeeves, keeper Louis Godwin-Green received his man of the match vote for string of good saves.
