Rovers Media Manager speaks to Rovers new coach, Enrico Tiritera

Firstly, Hullbridge. After living and breathing the club for so long, how do you feel about things now?
If I would say that it it's all fine I would be lying to you. I'm still bitter about it but time is a good doctor and cures all illnesses. As someone said I'll keep the good memories and wish that club to find someone that will run the first team for as long as I did and with the same dedication and results. Revenge is a big word in football but you can be assured I'll have a little smile!

So did Dan Trenkel contact you or did you offer your coaching services?
I spoke to Dan back in November after noticing that he didn't have a coach and we left that we would talk again at the end of the season. Obviously after last week events Dan called on Monday and invited me over.

We've often seen you at Rovers. What are your thoughts on the club?
GWR has been the local non-league club who I followed since I came to live in England in 1993. The Burroughs Park facilities are the shining result of the hard work and dedication of people like Barry Beadle,Roger Sampson,Nobby Johnson,Fred Smith,Jim Laird,Roger Burroughs, Micky Elks and many other committee members who over the years have transformed a piece of land to become a quality non-league ground to be proud of.
I have been here before as an U'16 Alliance manager back in 1997 with Lewis Green,John Mercer,Matt Hambleton,Andy Merry,AJ Degutis in the squad and as a reserves manager in 2005 with Gary Ogilvie,James White,Scott Keys,Billy Johnson playing.
I hope this is the third time lucky and I'm staying till my pension days!!!

What are your thoughts on the team from what you've seen of them this season?
The team has lot of quality going forward and has 4-5forwards all capable of scoring goals. They just need to pay more attention once the ball is lost
and at defensive set pieces.

As a fellow manager, how do you think Dan Trenkel and his assistant Gary Ansell have performed in their first full season in charge?
I think they have done well considering it was their first managerial experience and the non easy transition from players to manager. I'm sure
they will get better and better as time goes by

What do you hope to achieve during your time here?
I'm here to help Dan and Gary on the training pitch and during games. To many, promotion might seem a bit difficult to achieve now but we have the moral duty to try and give everything till the end winning most or all of the remaining games. It's for Burnham to lose it but I have seen teams crumbling when the pressure reaches the boiling point. Also I haven't seen them going through a bad patch yet so you never know. Strange things happen in football. Thats the beauty of it!!!

Finally from what I'm led to believe you're here until the end of the season. If all goes well would you look to make it a permanent position at the club or would you still go after a managers position if one becomes available?
My hope is that Dan and Gary like what they see and we like each other. I consider myself more a coach than a manager and I'm in my element when out there coaching. GWR is also on my door step and even the wife was amazed how quickly I was back home after training on Thursday!!!If they want me to stay comes end of April I'll chuck away any offer and help the club reach a league that matches their ground status.
