Experienced keeper Dale Brightly has dual-signed for Rovers from Canvey Island in another coup for manager Dan Trenkel.

After Adam Seal decided to join Maldon & Tiptree last weekend, Manager Dan Trenkel and Assistant Manager Gary Ansell have signed Dale Brightly on dual-registration from Canvey Island.

Brightly, 28, has previously played for Concord Rangers where he won a Ryman Division 1 North play off winners medal in 2009/2010 and a Ryman Premier Division play off winners medal in 2012/2013– and Billericay Town where he won the Ryman Premier Division title in 2011/2012.

Trenkel stated "We are delighted. We sat down after Saturdays game and drew up a list of about 5 or 6 keepers and he was top of that list. I thought it would be a long shot getting him in but we’ve managed to pull it off and I must thank Danny Heale aswell for helping it to all go through smoothly.

Dale is a winner, I think you can see that from his career so far. He’s experienced big games all the way through the years and that will be invaluable for us.

On being asked about Brightly being a good replacement for Adam Seal, Trenks replied "Sealsy did a fantastic job for us, and with him going on to a higher level we’ve managed to get lucky by attracting Dale to come and play for us. Dale is a Ryman Premier goalkeeper and he will show his class for us I’m sure of that"
