As Rovers prepare to play Enfield Town on Saturday, we take a quick glimpse at Rovers record against Enfield Town in "Factual Findings".

Here at Rovers we have comprehensive records dating back to 1992 and we've managed to compile results, Rovers lineups, scorers etc thanks to Nobby Johnson, Jim Laird and the hard work of our own resident statto's Dan Trenkel and Rob Lilley.

So let's take a look at our record against Enfield Town FC.

Rovers and Enfield Town first met in 2005, a Southern League Division One East match where Rovers visited Enfield Town on the 29th August but were defeated by a goal to nil. Some notable names playing for Rovers that day were, James Marrable, John Heffer, Iain O'Connell, Danny Scopes, James White, Gianni Frankis and Neil Richmond.

But let's look at the totals first.

The teams have played against each other 14 times. Rovers have been victorious 4 times, Enfield 7 times and 3 draws. Rovers have hit the back of the net 19 times and Enfield 24.

In this fixture, with Enfield at home, Rovers there have been 7 matches, Enfield winning 4, Rovers 3. As yet there have been no draws when Enfield have been at home!!
Matches have always been close however, with 5 games having just a solitary goal between the sides, with all 4 of Enfield's wins being 1-0.
Rovers lead the way where goals are concerned though, scoring 8 compared to Enfield's 6.

There has only been one cup game between the sides, that being on the 18th October 2008, an FA Trophy First Round Qualifier, Rovers coming away victors, with goals by Neil Richmond & Ty Benjamin.

Enfield last beat Rovers at home on the 15th November 2008 but Rovers have won the last two games at Enfield, the last fixture on the 23rd October 2010, Rovers won 3-0 with goals from Luca Frankis, Ty Benjamin and Billy Johnson.

Rovers will look to make this a third win in a row in this fixture in order to try and pull away from the relegation battle and kickstart their revival.
