Rovers were pushed out of the FA Vase after an ill-tempered match which saw two red cards.

A goal down after 4 minutes, Rovers fought back with goals from Jimmy Webb (pen) and a free-kick from David Collins. Takeley grabbed an equaliser 10 minutes after the break, although lost a player midway through the half to give Rovers back the impetus. As the game went into extra time, Rovers lost left back Max Kent through injury and the game was back to 10 outfield players each as Trenkel had used all three subs.
It was a goal by James Arnott five minutes into injury time that would turn out to be the winner, but not until more controversy, as Lewis Sparrow was seen to kick out during a melee, and received a straight red card.

Rovers will now look to put in an improved performance against Chelmsfore in the Essex Senior Cup on Wednesday evening, kick off at 19:30.
