Rovers succumbed to a last gasp belter by John Bricknell in the 93rd minute, a goal worthy of winning any match. The stop-start affair restricted the sides to small passages of play which resulted in what appeared to be a scrappy match.
Enfield 1893 took the lead in the 57th minute through Bradley Martin but Trenkel equalised with just under 20 minutes remaining. The scene was set for Bricknell to fire home a sweet right footed effort from distance to grab all three points for the hosts.
The match will, however, be remembered for refereeing decisions which left both benches and supporters, frustrated and dumbfounded and talking about this rather than the performances of their sides.
