Danny Greaves has decided to resign from his post as Rovers first team manager.

Rovers boss Danny Greaves has decided to resign from his post as manager after just 6 games in charge. Despite wholesale changes to the squad he inherited from previous manager Ryan Wilkinson, the players brought in did not perform as he had expected and as such performances and results suffered.

Greaves submitted his letter of resignation before Monday nights Committee meeting at the club and by a majority decision, the Committee agreed to release him from his duties, effective immediately.

Rovers Committee are currently looking at their options following previous interviews held prior to Greaves appointment and are looking to fill this role before Saturday's must win game at home against Chatham. Whoever the new management team are will have a tough task to get Rovers back on the front foot and playing with confidence following a tough start to the 2011-2012 campaign in which they have conceded over 45 goals already, the worst in the whole Ryman League.

The Rovers website will be the first place to find out the new management team so please checking back.

The Rovers Committee would like to thank Danny Greaves for his efforts.
