Manager Dan Trenkel gets his man after long discussions

Manager Dan Trenkel held discussions tonight (Wednesday) with 31 year old Danny Heale which was finalised with the striker signing for the club.

Trenkel added "It goes without saying how delighted I am to sign Danny. His pedigree, ability and goalscoring talent is untouchable. Being able to sign him is a big feather in my cap as a young manager and it shows that we are a club doing the right things and moving in the right direction. I think a player with Danny's calibre could be the difference in terms of our promotion prospects and is a player that the younger lads will learn a great deal off of".

Heale last played for Rovers on the 22nd September 2004, coming off the bench in a 2-0 defeat to Ilford in a Thameside Trophy first round. Danny played 17 games for Rovers, scoring 5 goals between 1999 & 2004.
