Beau MacDonald is a first year Southend United academy player who can play in midfield or attack. He made his Blues first-team debut in October 2023 in an Emirates FA Cup tie against Yeovil Town, and went on to play in the league for the first time two weeks later.

The under 19 attacking midfielder who has played twice for Blues' first team this season has joined the Rovers on a dual registration basis

Beau is a positive, forward thinking player that loves to attack to build, create and take goal scoring opportunities for the team by showing a very good range of passing and also creative one-touch play in and around the opposition penalty area. Beau is a hard-working player when the team is out of possession and communicates with other players to organise them and also presses or marks/tracks opposition midfield players.
