Sudbury started the strongest on the artificial surface taking the game to Rovers, and it only took the hosts ten minutes to take the lead When Tom Maycock stabbed the ball home from close range.

After the break Rovers looked stronger and determined to get back into the game, however it was Sudbury who went close to putting the game beyond Rovers on a couple of occasions ,Lewis Hawes in goal heroically keeping Rovers in the game with some fine saves.
With 84 minutes gone Rovers for the second match in a row then found themselves with ten men, Ollie Woodhouse being sent to the stands picking up his second yellow for a challenge on Ben Hammett
The visitors didn’t give up and there were chances at both ends, with five minutes remaining player manager Stephen Butterworth found the net with a looping header, and it was Rovers who looked more likely to score in the closing minutes sub Jacob Wiggins going close to level the scores, only to be denied by the Sudbury stopper.
In the end Rovers were unlucky not to come away with something from the game, however the search for their second away win in the league continues.
