Rovers 0 - 3 Maldon & Tiptree

A new era for Great Wakering Rovers who installed Keith Wilson as manager last weekend, and for 80 minutes it appeared as though he was on for a well earned point.  In fairness, a 3-0 scoreline flattered the league leaders in a match which both teams battled and competed in an entertaining affair.

There was good early exchanges, with Maldon finding the net in the 15th minute only for it to be adjudged offside.  Rovers Jack Adlington then ran onto a ball and fired just over the bar.  Both sides continued to plug away as the half slowly ended 0-0.

The game came alive in the second half, with Jack Adlington being played in by Harley Kee, only to fire straight at Daniel Wilks.  Kee was called upon 10 minutes later, sliding the ball clear off the line as Maldon pressed.  And it wasn't long before the pressure told, with Montel Agyermang firing home after a Gavin Greenfield headed back a free kick.  Two minutes later, Liam Nash scored against his former side, sliding home a Rhys Henry ball across the goaline.  The game was made safe with 5 minutes remaining, Kye Jude heading into his own net.
