From Trafford Park.....
Rovers dug in to take all three points from a tough encounter with struggling Wroxham. Rovers were looking to make an impact in the absence of manager Gary Ansell, who was overseas on business, and they would have fancied their chances at the division's bottom club.
The two sides exchanged first half chances although the breakthrough didn’t come until five minutes before the interval.
Jacob Cleaver, in and out the side in recent weeks, scored to put Rovers ahead but they were unable to hold out until the half-time whistle.
One minute before the break, Adam Plumstead levelled the scores to Rovers' frustrations. But back came Rovers once again although there was a touch of fortune about the goal on the hour mark, which was credited as an Elliot Pride own goal.
A corner was whipped in with Nick Skelton challenging for the ball but goalkeeper Pride could only drop the ball across his own line.
Billy Johnson made it 3-1 in the final five minutes much to the delight of management duo Rob Polkinghorn and Steve King.
