On Saturday afternoon Rovers visited Spa Road to take on Witham Town.
A game that neither team could afford to lose started brightly with Witham Town looking the better side in the opening exchanges , Rovers injury depleted team took another blow when Marc Gorbell hobbled off after only three minutes being replaced by Simon Glover.
Both teams had chances in the first half but neither could make them count.

Town came out the strongest in the second half taking the game to Rovers but this was always going to be a tight affair and Rovers had there chances coming forward, with the game at stale mate it was Town who took the lead in the 56th minute, Kevin Coyle hitting a half volley from a whipped in corner .
Rovers then made it even harder for themselves when Jake Gordon was sent to the stands after receiving two yellow cards in succession the second seemed to be for something he said to the referee .
Ten men Rovers then found themselves two down when on the 79th minute Johnny Ashman cleverly steering a shot into the Rovers net.
The visitors didn’t give up trying to push forward when possible and it paid off when Matt Rush got one back in the 84th minute, however it was too little to late for Rovers .
Before the game both teams would of probably been happy with a point a piece but it was Witham town who took all three points to move up the table to go level on points with Rovers .
