ROVERS VICTORIOUS IN FRIENDLY

By User 78386

Rovers beat the snow to triumph in hastily arranged friendly fixture

Rovers first team gained a useful 3-2 win over Essex Senior League side Hullbridge Sports at the Chase Sports Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Without a game for the past 2 weeks it gave the team the chance to get some match practice in before taking on league leaders Leiston this Saturday.

Dan Trenkel experimented with formations in what turned out to be a useful exercise for him.

Rovers went in 1-0 down at the break, but responded with goals from Julian Okai, Jack Carlile and Billy Johnson in what was a much improved second half performance where many chances were created.
