Rovers fell behind as early as the 2nd minute, Lee Hales firing home an unstoppable shot. Ryan Laker made it two with a header on 15 minutes and Jake Teffrey a third in the 22nd minute to take Chatham into the break three goals up.

However Rovers came out fighting and a much improved second half saw them pull a goal back in the 50th minute, Alberton Pinto rounding the keeper to slide the ball into the net. Tow golden chances later and Rovers could have found themselves level, but as it was, they could only one furthe goal back, Luca Frankis forcing the ball home with two minutes remaining.
