O'Connell signs prominent forward from Tilbury.....

One of Rovers highest ever goalscorers has been re-signed by Iain O'Connell. Neil Richmond, the clubs 4th highest goalscorer, returns to the club and looks to start at Romford today.

Richmond signs on from Tilbury following a 7 year absence, with his last game, a 0-0 draw at home to Leyton in April 2010.

Richmond first started at the club in 2005, making his debut away at Wingate & Finchley in the Southern League on the 20th August. Although not a goal scoring debut, his following game, home against Harlow Town, he found the net twice but was unable to prevent Rovers losing 3-2.

Since his debut, Richmond went on to make 208 appearances, scoring 97 goals (1 penalty). His 208 appearances puts him in 19th place in our all time appearance chart.
His 97 goals, sees him sitting in 4th place on our top goal scorers chart, three goals short of Mark Hampshire in third, with Dan Trenkel sitting in second place on 122.

All at the club wish Neil the very best on his return to the Green & White shirt and moreso, hope he continues to find the net to help push the club into safety.
