On This Day........

On this day, 5th December, Rovers have played four games in our recorded history.

In 1992, our first season as a senior club, we faced Woodford Town in the Essex Senior League, drawing 1-1 at home, Paul Flack with the goal.

in 1998, Rovers, managed by Eddie Newton, won 4-0 at homoe to Stansted. Our goalscorers that day were Neville Hickton, Alan Hull (2) and Ryan Wilkinson.

In 2006, with Iain O'Connell at the helm, Rovers won 2-1 in the Essex Senior Cup 4th Round against Dagenham & Redbridge. Nikki Beale and Neil Richmond finding the net that day for Rovers.

Finally, in 2009, with Ryan Wilkinson and Cleve Taylor in charge, Rovers were defeated 3-1 at Burroughs Park by Ware with a young Billy Johnson hitting the target for the Green & Whites.
