Former Rovers' player Danny Heale and his squad succumbed to relegation on the last day as they finished 22nd following a 2-2 draw with already-relegated AFC Sudbury on the last day of the season.

Our last meeting with Canvey was back on Tuesday 13th September 2016 when a Tony Stokes hat trick alongside goals from Joey May, Omar Lawson and Kojo Awotwi alongside a consolation goal from Jacob Cleaver resulted in Canvey winning 6-1 in the Alan Turvey Trophy at The Frost Financial Stadium.

Elsewhere, we also host Bowers & Pitsea on Saturday 15th July at 3pm.

Rob Small led his squad to a fantastic 6th place finish in their debut season in the 4th tier of non-league football as they missed out on the play-offs to Haringey Borough by 1 point despite defeating AFC Hornchurch 3-1.

Our last meeting was back on Tuesday 18th April when 4 goals from Brad Warner and a solo goal from Fahad Nyanja secured a 5-2 win for Bowers with Ricky Evans and Billy Johnson getting the Rovers goals.

We thank both Canvey and Bowers for sending sides down to play us and we look forward to welcoming the supporters, officials and management from the two sides in what will be two fantastic games being held at Borroughs Park during pre-season.

We will release the admission prices for the friendlies over the coming weeks with future friendlies to be confirmed in the near future once agreed.
